Walela Nehanda is a Black non-binary, queer writer and cultural worker known nationally. They are a cancer and stem cell transplant survivor and a mental health advocate. In 2024, they published a young adult cancer memoir titled Bless the Blood with Penguin Teen & Kokila. Walela offers various services, including workshops, lectures, keynotes, consulting, performing, planning, hosting events, and writing for publications.
